The weight is balanced towards the handle, making it feel very light to swing, yet it meets the weight requirements for official matches. It truly feels light when swung, making it easier to execute counter-techniques.
The nodes of these shinai have been shaved down, cotton has been inserted behind the nodes, and they have been seasoned with shinai oil for several months. This prevents cracking and splintering, making them durable.
I've tried various shinai, but ultimately settled on this model and achieved consistent results in tournaments.
I highly recommend this shinai to discerning kendo practitioners.
