Description
This is a tanzaku (a strip of paper for calligraphy or painting) that the previous owner received as a commemorative gift from Tankokai many years ago. It was passed on to me over 20 years ago and has been stored at home ever since without being used.
Tanzaku
Calligraphy: Chashin Tsuko Kin by Master Sotan Naya
*Master Sotan Naya passed away on October 14, 2004, at the age of 74. (Gassho)
He was the second son of Master Tantansai and the younger brother of the 15th Grand Master of Urasenke, Master Hounsai.
At the time it was received, I was told it came with a frame, but when I received it, there was no frame or its dedicated case. I made a custom case for it.
*Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about this.
