Vintage 1989 F-117A Stealth Fighter Heat Change Magic Mug Lion Marketing USA

Pour in a hot drink and the Stealth Fighter does exactly what it was famous for: it disappears.  This wonderfully clever 1989 F-117A Stealth Fighter heat-change mug celebrates Lockheed's unmistakable angular stealth aircraft with a thermochromic design built around its ability to evade radar.  When the mug is cool, one side shows the F-117A flying among the clouds while the other depicts the aircraft in the center of a radar screen. With the addition of hot liquid, the heat-sensitive design changes and the aircraft disappears from both scenes, creating a fun visual interpretation of the F-117A's stealth technology.  The design is marked © 1989 Lion Marketing, Atlanta, GA.  Beyond being a vintage coffee mug, this is a particularly fun display piece for a collector of military aviation, Cold War memorabilia, F-117 Nighthawk collectibles, Lockheed/Skunk Works history, or vintage heat-changing magic mugs.  Condition: Excellent vintage pre-owned condition. This mug appears to have seen little, if any, actual use. No obvious chips or cracks noted.  The heat-change feature remains functional.
