In 1967, he debuted in the art world with his solo exhibition Maiden Flowers Bloom (Aoki Gallery).
His activities were diverse, not only in painting but also in kimono design and photography, and he remained active until his later years. Following the enthronement of Kanzaburo Nakamura XVIII, he handled the art for the announcement ceremony of Kankuro Nakamura VI's enthronement.
