Vintage Bonnie Cashin Coach Envelope Clutch Black Leather - 1973 in EVC - Rare

This is a rare collectible Vintage Bonnie Cashin for Coach Envelope Clutch metal tag from 1973, in black leather. Only one I have ever seen, perhaps a precursor or prototype for the later style 9550 of 1976 (also available for purchase in Navy).   Made out of thick leather, closes with the foldover flap, inside it is not lined and there is a side to side pocket that closes with a zipper. It has the original one side hang tag with the bead chain.  The condition is almost pristine, very little use if used at all. There are no scratches, no worn out edges or corners, no ink, no verdigris in zipper, no musty smells. The interior shows that the leather was not perfectly dyed, sign of more artisanal use of the leather and manufacturing, than later on with more machinery. I only could find out the Vogue issue from 1973 where is was shown, but no name given.   AI model used for styling not sizing of the bag.
