Thank you for looking.

This is an old, five-drawer wooden tansu (chest of drawers).

With its deep reddish-brown finish and hardware, it's a piece that would fit well with Showa retro, antique furniture, old tools, or shop fixtures.

Condition:

The inside of the drawers is in relatively clean condition.
The handle hardware is sturdy, and the main body is stable without wobbling.

The front has a generally clean appearance, but upon closer inspection, there are age-related dark spots, dullness, and uneven coloring around the handles.
These are considered part of the antique furniture aesthetic, with a texture that seems to have settled into the old paint.

The keyhole area has a small sliding metal piece, but there is no key.
One drawer is slightly stiff, but it does not significantly impede use.

The top surface has scuffs and small scratches.
As this is an old piece of furniture, there are also age-related scratches, dirt, and paint scuffs.

No signs of woodworm or noticeable odors at this time.

Dimensions:
Width: Approx. 89cm
Maximum Width: Approx. 91cm (including side hardware)
Depth: Approx. 40cm
Height: Approx. 103cm
