Antique Rayo Center-Draft Nickel-Plated Kerosene Table Lamp (c. 1900)

Rayo center-draft kerosene table lamp, dating back to the late 1890s to early 1910s. Manufactured by the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Company for the Standard Oil Company, these lamps were the gold standard of early 20th-century home lighting. This lamp features the classic spherical fuel font, a fluted pedestal base, and a gorgeous ornate crown-style burner gallery. It is constructed from heavy brass with its original nickel-plated finish.  As seen in the photos, the lamp base features an open center-draft tube design through the bottom, which allowed optimal airflow to create a brighter, steadier flame.The lamp is missing its glass chimney and flame spreader, making it a perfect restoration project or an excellent source of original replacement parts for a collector. Condition Report Overall: Good vintage antique condition with a beautiful natural age patina. Surface: Shows honest wear, minor surface pitting, and localized tarnish/brassing to the nickel plating consistent with being over 100 years old. Mechanics: The wick gallery is intact, and the burner retains an old fabric wick inside. No major dents or cracks detected on the metal font. Completeness: Sold as-is / for parts or restoration.
