VAN Handblown Cased Art Glass Lilac Lavendar Napkin Holder Basket Italy

Description: Up for sale is a stunning, authentic vintage V.A.N. Crystal art glass napkin holder / handkerchief centerpiece dish, beautifully hand-worked in Italy during the mid-20th century. This striking piece utilizes the traditional Venetian cased glass technique, expertly layering a translucent, soft lavender-pink glass over a solid, milky white interior core. It features a sweeping, organic handkerchief or fazzoletto silhouette that folds dramatically upward, pinching tightly together to form the perfect slot to elegantly hold paper or cloth napkins on a kitchen table or bar. Collector's Integrity Detail: The bottom base features a clean, completely flat polished ground pontil base, which is a signature mark of premium Italian art glass craftsmanship. Furthermore, the remnant of the original vintage silver foil manufacturer label is still present on the lower side of the glass as pictured! Perfect as a napkin holder, desktop letter catcher, candy dish, or Hollywood Regency statement decor. Condition: Excellent vintage condition with incredible clarity. This piece has been wonderfully cared for over the decades with no chips, structural cracks, or impact flea bites along the wavy, ruffled edges. The polished bottom base shows only minimal, faint shelf wear. The remnant of the original silver foil maker's sticker remains fully intact on the body.
