Description
Thank you for viewing.

This is a Tang-bronze three-legged brazier made by Kiryu-do during the Meiji period.
It is an attractive piece with a dignified design, featuring scenes of people, boats, and monkeys rendered in high relief on a heavy bronze surface.

The three-dimensional craftsmanship seen in various parts, as well as the design of the handles shaped like leaves, demonstrate a high level of metalworking skill.

The material is bronze (Tang-bronze), and the interior shows verdigris and signs of use due to age, creating a unique antique patina.

In addition to its stable three-legged construction, it comes with a dedicated wooden base, making it enjoyable for both practical use and display.

It was acquired from a temple, suggesting it is an item with a history.
