A pair of small vintage/antique elephant bookends. An Anglo-Indian, (note the small ears) ebony and bone carved animal novel or book rest, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1890.  Graced with copious character and appeal for the reader   Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout except the bottom of one. Please see the photographs carefully. Tusks are not perfect or symmetrical, nor are they meant to be.
