Vintage Five Finger Vase MCM Quintal Horn Williamsburg Style Posy Holder Fan Bud
Vintage
This item is a vintage five-finger vase, historically known as a quintal horn or a posy holder/tulipiere. It features five individual tulip-shaped flower receptacles joined together at a single fan-shaped base. This specific fan design with a crosshatch pattern was popularized in the mid-20th century by ceramic designer J. Palin Thorley for the Colonial Williamsburg Restoration project. It was also produced by major makers like Wedgwood. The original 18th-century English designs were used to arrange separate cut flower stems into an elegant fan shape. Measures about 9 inches wide, 8 inches tall. In good vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It does have some crazing due to age, and the back of one side has some discoloration due to age and use. See photos for condition.
