Tea Ceremony Utensils "Chabako" Nomikai Basket Bamboo Basket Tea Box Gosho Kago Omotesenke Urasenke Mushakojisenke Edosenke

Thank you for visiting this page. Due to changes in my living environment, I am listing items that I have cherished. I would be grateful if you would consider them.

Overview:
This is a tea caddy for tea ceremony utensils.
I was inspired by a book I read previously to assemble my own tea box, and decided on a tea caddy, so I purchased this item. However, I received a complete tea box set from an acquaintance, so I no longer have the opportunity to assemble one myself. I had many ideas, but I would be happy if someone could make use of it.

Details:
This is a bamboo basket with a string, similar to the Goshokago used in the Urasenke school of tea ceremony. The bottom is rectangular, but the opening and lid are oval, and it tapers slightly upwards.
It is made of dyed bamboo in an *ajiro-ami* (plaiting) pattern. The four sides of the bottom are also plaited, and the lid and opening are joined with plaiting. The inside is not lined. The bottom is reinforced with a bamboo board.
The string is an eight-strand braid, seemingly made of rayon. The clasp is black.
I would like to include a small tea bowl and a flat *natsume* (tea caddy) that fit inside the tea caddy, but please let me know if you do not want them as they are old items. Please note that even if they are not included, a price reduction is not possible.

Condition:
Although it has never been used, the lid closure has been a bit stiff since purchase. There are also some slight unevenness in the finish and bamboo splinters.

Please check the condition in the images.
We ask that you purchase this item after thoroughly confirming its condition.

This is a recommended item, so please consider it.
