This is a genuine tremolo unit removed from a 1990s Fender Japan Jag-Stang.
It is an original part from the early model Jag-Stang, which was born from Kurt Cobain's idea. It retains the details of the time, which differ from current replacement parts, and is a rare item with increasing value as a Japanese vintage piece.
[Condition and Storage]
Exterior: The Fender DYNAMIC VIBRATO engraving remains clearly on the surface, and the condition is natural considering its age. Rust and corrosion due to age are visible on the metal parts on the back, springs, set screws, etc. (see photos). *There are quite a few scratches, although they are difficult to see in the photos.
History: It was carefully stored for a long time after being removed from the actual instrument.
Functionality: It was working properly until it was removed, but considering it has been stored for a long time, it will be sold as-is, assuming maintenance will be performed. By applying oil and making adjustments as needed, the vibrato effect of the time should be restored.
Aging: These signs of aging bring a familiar feel that new parts lack, making it ideal for replacing parts on old guitars or relic-finished instruments.
