Description
Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic Edwardian-era antique porcelain vanity tray. This blank was manufactured in Limoges, France by the renowned A. Klingenberg factory, featuring their signature underglaze green A.K. FRANCE maker's mark on the base (used circa 1890–1910).Following the popular early 20th-century tradition of studio porcelain painting, this piece was imported and exquisitely hand-decorated by an artist. The front features an asymmetrical, delicate arrangement of vibrant yellow roses and soft green foliage set against a pastel-shaded background. It is beautifully finished with a fine, continuous gilded gold rim.The underside bears the hand-painted signature of the artist, F. Moran, and is precisely dated 12/25/10 (Christmas Day, 1910), making it a wonderful historical snapshot from over a century ago. 4.5x3.5
