This is a 4-piece set including a Chusen (tea whisk) of the Sōhen-ryū style Naka-Arahō, a Chasen, a Chashaku (tea scoop), and a Chawan (tea bowl).

The following applies to the Chasen from the 1st to the 6th images. The other three items are used goods of unknown origin.

This item is about 35 years old, but has been used infrequently.

The Naka-Arahō Chasen, made by Nakata Kisenn (Nakata Kizo Shoten), is a high-quality, domestically produced Chasen by skilled artisans in Takayama, Ikoma City, Nara. With its thick, fewer tines (Arahō), it is an authentic masterpiece suitable for firmly whisking thick matcha (koicha) primarily in schools like Urasenke and Kankyūan.
