This classic, collectible vintage Dutch Delft Blue porcelain statement brooch was made in the Netherlands during the mid-20th century, this pin features a lovely oval ceramic cabochon beautifully hand-painted with a traditional cobalt blue scenic landscape showcasing a historic windmill along the water. The porcelain plaque is housed within a beautiful, delicate frame crafted from 835 continental silver wire filigree. The openwork scalloped border features elaborate looping patterns that elegantly frame the centerpiece. The reverse side of the brooch features a Delft Holland hand written signature. The round glazed ceramic backplate is fitted with a secure, traditional pin closure. A wonderful addition for collectors of fine Dutch delftware, souvenir jewelry, or European filigree silver.
