【Maintenance Completed】ScanSnap S1500 Roller Replaced

This is a Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 scanner.
The total number of scans is approximately 15,900 sheets (see image), which is quite low for this model.

[Maintenance Performed (February 2026)]
To resolve the characteristic sticky roller issue of this model, the following maintenance was performed:
Paper Feed/Eject Roller Replacement: Replaced with new silicone tubes.
Old rubber residue cleaned with IPA (alcohol).
Internal Cleaning: Sensor glass and all sensors cleaned.

[Product Condition and Notes]
Operation Confirmed: Scanning completed successfully after cleaning.
Image Quality: Although internally cleaned, due to age-related degradation, the image from the bottom (eject side) sensor may appear slightly brighter (whiter) compared to the top side. This should not be an issue for grayscale scanning, but please be aware if precise color reproduction is critical.

Scan Skew: As this is a maintained unit, the scanned image may be slightly skewed (tilted) compared to a new unit.

Roller Detachment: The replaced rollers have been installed with notches, and there is a rare possibility of them detaching during operation. If this occurs, they can be reattached and used, but please be aware.
