Vintage 1970s Hand Quilted Machine Pieced Star Quilt Orange Brown Yellow 50"

Beautiful vintage handmade quilt featuring a bold geometric star design in classic burnt orange, golden yellow, dark brown and white.  The quilt appears to be machine pieced and hand quilted. Close inspection shows the regular construction stitching associated with machine piecing, while the visible quilting stitches appear to have been worked by hand. It is finished with an orange dotted binding and backed in a simple solid muslin fabric.  The striking central starburst design is surrounded by repeating geometric sections, giving the quilt a wonderful graphic look. Its orange, brown and golden-yellow color palette is especially characteristic of 1970s décor.  At approximately 50 square, this is a versatile smaller quilt that would work beautifully as a wall hanging, lap quilt, table topper or decorative vintage textile.
