Good Design Award
A personal fishing light that uses the food chain to attract fish with light. It attracts fish in the order of plankton → small fish → predatory fish (cutlassfish, rockfish, etc.). Existing products are generally gas lamp types that illuminate the sea from piers, but this unit has a waterproof structure that takes advantage of battery features and is designed to be submerged in water. This reduces light attenuation due to reflection on the water surface, allowing the light to reach further and efficiently attract fish. It can also be used as a fishing spot lantern for cleaning up afterwards. [Batteries used] Size D x 4 [Light source] 6W twin fluorescent lamp [Battery life] Strong: 6 hours continuous / Weak: 10 hours continuous (when using alkaline dry batteries)

A fishing light with toughness that belies its soft appearance. Made with highly transparent reinforced resin and a rubber protector, it is more robust than it looks and has a reliable construction. Its waterproofness, capable of withstanding prolonged submersion, is also noteworthy. The judging committee was impressed by the excellence of these fine details. It is said that the proposal to develop an underwater light fishing lure that takes advantage of batteries was made by the designer himself, who loves fishing. This is likely a design born from that passion.
