Beautiful condition, 4-piece set: handmade sea disaster warding ladle, Matsuda float, and patch
This is a makie ladle crafted with deer antler, traditionally used as a charm against water and sea disasters, and featuring a grip made of Hotei bamboo and rosewood. It was custom-made by a handmade workshop, and due to its exquisite craftsmanship, it has been kept unused.
The grip is processed to fit comfortably in the hand, utilizing the uneven texture of the Hotei bamboo and the natural curves of the deer antler, resulting in an outstanding fit. The deer antler, Hotei bamboo, and rosewood parts are beautifully joined as shown in the photos, and the surface is coated with clear paint, making this a meticulously crafted, one-of-a-kind makie ladle.
The dimensions are approximately 68 cm in total length, with a cup size of 52 x 40 x 19 mm, and a weight of about 120g. The shaft stiffness, in my estimation, is around H or HH. The cup is made of titanium and is approximately S to MS size. Please check the photos for details.
Additionally, we will include a new, unused Matsuda Uki (Matsujiro/BB) and two new, unused gamakatsu patches.
Please carefully examine the current condition in the photos and consider your purchase with the understanding of the above. To prevent scratches or damage during shipping, it will be sent in a PVC pipe. We sincerely ask that you refrain from significant price negotiations.
