Purchased approximately 40 years ago from a shamisen specialty store for around 800,000 yen.
This item is made from materials that are no longer available today.
The handle is made from a single piece of natural material (elephant ivory),
making it a very rare item now.

The quality is clearly conveyed in the photos through the natural patterns (mesh, wave, and stripe patterns) characteristic of the natural material (elephant ivory).
The handle fits comfortably in the hand due to the nature of the material, with a very smooth touch.
The edges are beveled, so your hand will not get tired, making it very easy to play.

Currently, there is a small chip of about 1mm on one side of the bachi tip,
but it is believed to be easily repairable with sanding maintenance.
The bachi tip is also wide, so it can be easily maintained with future sanding,
and this is an item that can be used for a long time.

There are some minor scratches, but
no major damage is apparent.
