Description
Woodstock Chimes
Gregorian Chimes® - Soprano
This is a rare, unused deadstock item from the era when Woodstock Chimes were handcrafted in the Hudson Valley, New York, before transitioning to mass production in China. It features the Made in the USA marking.
Copyrighted 1992. The original warranty card is also included.
While there are slight signs of age-related dullness on the tubes, it is in excellent condition overall, having been stored unused.
With the shift to Chinese production, counterfeit products have become more prevalent. Items made in the USA in unused condition are now extremely difficult to find.
The sound quality is vastly superior to current mass-produced models, resonating beautifully.
Although prices became more affordable after the transition to Chinese manufacturing, even during the period of a stronger yen, these handcrafted USA-made chimes retailed for around ¥20,000 for the soprano model.
The box, wrapping paper, and cards show signs of age-related discoloration and damage.
Recommended for collectors of vintage instruments or those who appreciate its rarity.
Please purchase with an understanding of deadstock items.
