This is a super premium cowbell handmade in a workshop in the Bronx, NY.
The maker has since passed away, so only existing units are available, making this a legendary cowbell whose value continues to skyrocket.
On overseas musical instrument specialty sites and auctions, it's not uncommon for this super premium (vintage) item to trade for tens of thousands to over 100,000 yen.

While there are signs of use, there are no cracks or other damage that would affect the sound.

Purchased at the JCR workshop in the 1990s, there is a slight rust on the surface, but this actually contributes to its desirable sound quality.
