I was drawn to Diapason, purchased it used, and spent approximately 200,000 yen on maintenance and a silent function.
Unlike an electronic piano, the key weight remains the same even when the silent function is engaged, allowing you to play with the same feel as when producing sound.
The silent unit is a high-performance model that allows for dynamic expression. (Headphones are not included)

Manufacturer: DIAPASON
Model: 132A
Serial Number: 24835
2 Pedals
Cane Legs
The adjustable bench shown in the photo is included.

★Last Tuned: Around 2021
★The first photo is before the silent unit was installed.

About the Silent Unit:
KORG
The silent function can be easily switched on and off with a lever. Simply pull the lever of the silent unit attached to the piano body towards you to select the silent function, making it easy for even young children to operate.
- Even when silenced, the touch allows for expression down to pianissimo with no change from normal play.
- You can enjoy not only the piano sound but also several other sounds such as organ.
- It also has a recording function, so you can record your own performances.

About Diapason:
A brand now absorbed by Kawai Musical Instruments.
After the war, Hataha Ohashi aimed to create a Japanese piano that could rival European pianos, and pursued an ideal design that disregarded profitability, incorporating features such as a one-piece string winding system and agraffes. Furthermore, it does not employ the duplex scale system, which is used in most grand pianos today to enhance overtones in the treble range. As a result, pianos designed by Ohashi are often praised for their unadulterated, neutral tone compared to pianos from other manufacturers.
