Kimura Ocarinas are born in Yanai City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. The maker is Mr. Shu Kimura.

Kimura Ocarinas have a beautiful reddish-tan skin that conveys the texture of the clay. They have a rounded, standard shape and a smooth touch that feels warm like earth. (Currently, the surface is treated to prevent dirt from easily adhering.)

From its appearance, you can imagine a soft sound from this ocarina.

The tone is truly warm and gentle. Looking at the scales, the low and mid-ranges have a rounded, soft tone. The high-range sound projection is excellent, and even the highest notes, Mi and Fa, resonate beautifully.

The surface coating is very thin, so when you blow into it, the body resonates and immediately produces sound (good responsiveness). There are no airy or noisy sounds; it efficiently converts your breath into sound. The lack of peculiar playing characteristics and the ease of achieving pitch with normal breath are also great features of this ocarina.

This ocarina is highly recommended for those who love the soft, characteristic sound of an ocarina (bright and heartwarming), and for those who do not yet own a soft-toned ocarina.
