This is a calico cat patterned tissue cover.
It was made using punch needle.

The principle is the same as the popular tufting technique.
It is meticulously created by stitching with a pen-type needle.

[Construction]
* Yarn is stitched into the fabric.
* The yarn surface is cut (for a three-dimensional feel and neatness).
* The back is treated with glue (to prevent yarn from coming out).
* Interfacing is applied after the glue treatment (for reinforcement).
(Reinforcement is done by ironing on fabric with adhesive on one side.)
* The four corners are sewn together.

??The cover is made to fit box tissues perfectly, so the box may be slightly crushed when inserting it into the cover.

Thanks to the snug fit, the box is held firmly in place and does not shift, so no elastic band or similar is needed to secure the box.
