9-Drawer Paulownia Chest of Drawers

Purchased approximately 48 years ago as wedding furniture.
This item, along with a vanity mirror and another paulownia chest of drawers (item 2),
was part of a 4-piece set originally costing 3 million yen.
This chest alone was worth at least 700,000 yen.
It's from the era of Nagoya Yomeiri (a traditional wedding custom in Nagoya),
so it is undoubtedly a high-quality item.
(The other two chests are for kimono storage and have different shapes; they are not planned for sale.)

Please understand that this is an antique item, as it is 48 years old.
Some drawers may not close completely smoothly.

Dimensions are approximately: Height 173 cm, Width 115 cm, Depth 45 cm.

The price includes the shipping fee of 18,500 yen for Rakuraku Mercari Bin (a shipping service), so it may seem a bit high, but we appreciate your understanding.

If you are a professional mover who can pick it up yourself and load it onto a truck, we will offer a 18,500 yen discount as the size will not be an issue.

The color in the photos tends to appear a bit lighter than the actual item.
The color in the 3rd and 4th images is closest to the actual color.
While the photos make it look faded, the actual color is more like natural wood.

The frame around the chest is a rare reddish-brown color and is quite stylish.
It has a calm, chic color with a pattern, making it fashionable.
It is very heavy, and we cannot move it ourselves, so I apologize for not having a photo of the opposite side.
The opposite side may be a bit more dirty or dusty, and I apologize for that.
We will ask the Rakuraku Mercari Bin service to handle it directly.

There is rust on the metal fittings.
The bottom drawer is missing the cover for the lock.
The drawers and metal fittings are in their original condition. I believe they could be cleaned and restored beautifully by a professional with specialized tools.
The handles have rust and are simple from that era. We recommend replacing them with more stylish ones.
There is no key.

The drawers likely separate at the horizontal cut shown in images 3 and 4.
