Kimono Fabric Scraps, Oshima Tsumugi, Pure Silk, Hanabishi Pattern, Width 37 x Length 120cm ⑥【75】

These are cut pieces from a beautiful Oshima Tsumugi silk fabric.
I believe it is antique or semi-antique.
This is the last of its kind.

The fabric has a moderate sheen, is smooth, silky, and supple with a slight thickness. It features a lovely large floral rhombus pattern.

Besides the pattern, fine light brown threads can be seen, but I hope you will appreciate them as part of its antique charm. (They can be removed by gently pulling horizontally, but they are present in some areas.)

This kimono appears to have been re-tailored, with two parallel shoulder slits on the body and seams from the front to the back near the shoulders. I believe it is a re-tailored item, but there are no stains and the fabric condition is very good.
This particular fabric is from the back of the kimono, and a reinforcing tape (approx. 78cm) is attached near the edge on one side, at the tailoring position (around the waistline from the center back to below the hips, where it stretches with movement). I tried peeling a small part, but the fabric is fine. As it is a thin fabric, I am offering it as is, thinking it would be good for remakes.
If you are concerned, please feel free to remove it yourself.

I do not see any noticeable damage, but please forgive any oversights.
Please consider this item as a vintage piece from the Showa era.
