Description
This is rice straw, grown without fertilizer or pesticides/herbicides, and sun-dried after harvesting.
The straw is approximately 80cm long, making it suitable for a wide range of uses, including as a material for vegetable cultivation, for making katsuo no tataki (seared bonito) by straw-burning, for overwintering medaka (Japanese killifish), and for making shimenawa (sacred ropes).
The straw will be shipped in a plastic bag, sealed with tape.
We have a large quantity available, so pick-up is also an option.
