Hard Kanuma soil refers to the hard type of pumice Kanuma soil produced around Kanuma City. It is said to be a high-quality product because it is hard and resistant to crumbling, allowing for long-term use.

Being hard and granular, it excels in aeration, drainage, water retention, and heat retention.
Its lightweight and slightly acidic nature make it versatile and ideal for blending into various potting mixes.

Larger granules can be used as a drainage layer at the bottom of pots.

Its high drainage and aeration, along with its resistance to crumbling, make it suitable for potting mixes for succulents such as Haworthia, Agave, and cacti.
