Husk chips are natural, organic material made from the husks of coconuts, cut into dice-sized chips. Mixing them into soil can improve drainage, nutrient retention, and water retention. They are also widely used as mulch.
These popular materials are also used for insect and reptile keeping. They can be used as a mat for raising beetles, stag beetles, Hercules beetles, and other insects, as well as during hibernation and egg-laying. They can also be used for reptile thermoregulation.
