Super Rare Seiko Matsuda Showa Retro Suntory Papipu Penguins Basketball - Immediate Purchase OK

#Mei Classic... Showa Heisei Retro

This is a basket featuring Suntory's image characters, the Papipu Penguins.

While there are some signs of wear, this is a rare item. Please carefully review the photos and description before purchasing.

First, the handle used to open the lid has broken off due to deterioration. This can be seen in photos 3 and 4.

Second, as visible in photos 1 and 4, the mesh part is damaged, and there are areas where the paint has peeled off on the underside of the lid.

Third, although difficult to see in photos, the paint on the rivets on the outside of the basket has peeled, and there is rust on the exposed metal parts.

Fourth, the lid cover shows some deterioration. As this is an old basket, it has been cleaned as much as possible, but there are still some dusty, sooty stains.

These are all the defects that could be identified. While they affect the appearance, none of them hinder the use of the basket.

It has handles on both sides, making it easy to carry despite its size, and it is sturdy. Since the handles are integrated with the basket, there is no worry of them detaching due to weight. The legs, the green support straps, and the caps on the bottom are all intact.

Looking only at the condition, it's clear to anyone that this appears to be just a worn-out basket.

However, this basket actually...

My mother said she obtained it as a prize or something around the time the commercial for Seiko Matsuda's SWEET MEMORIES was popular.

That was about 40 years ago, so there are likely very few people who own the same item.

The commercials from that era were actually deemed problematic in their expression and were quickly taken off the air. Because this item appeared precisely during that time, it is likely that you won't find another one anywhere. The woven rattan design, popular in the Showa era, evokes a sense of nostalgia.

Due to its rarity, it will be sold to the first buyer. I will only sell it to those who are satisfied after reviewing the photos of the packaging.

Due to shipping size constraints, dispatch may occur on weekends. Communication via message is required.
