This listing is for 8 blocks of spent shiitake mushroom substrate.

Rhinoceros beetle larvae love to eat this and grow large.
The size of adult rhinoceros beetles depends on providing nutritious food during the larval stage.

The 8 blocks will be shipped in a size 100 cardboard box.
The sizes vary slightly.
Average dimensions: approx. 12cm (length) x 10cm (width) x 11cm (depth).
*As they are currently drying, they may be smaller than the listed dimensions.
The blocks may break during transport. Also, as they are stored outdoors, small insects may have entered.
Please understand this before purchasing.

Green mold may appear due to humidity, but it does not affect the larvae.
If you are concerned, please wash it off with water before use.

Before use, soak the blocks in water to moisten them and then bury them in the substrate.

*Image 3 shows the blocks after being crushed.
If crushed and the temperature is high, it will ferment.
Stir approximately every 3 days.
Fermentation is complete when the substrate turns dark.

*Image 4 shows rhinoceros beetle larvae eating the spent substrate. Larvae are not included in the product.
