【Rare, Hand-Painted】Pakistan 70s Vintage Fantastical Light Lamp
50.82 $
Description
This is a Camel Skin Lamp (made from camel stomach), a traditional craft passed down for centuries in the ancient city of Multan, Pakistan.
The lamp parts are imported from Pakistan and assembled in Japan.
Unlike current designs, it possesses a simple and beautiful aesthetic.
Due to a decline in artisans, this is a rare and highly valuable item that is extremely difficult to obtain.
It is made by stretching camel stomach skin to its thinnest possible form. When lit, a warm, sunset-like glow spreads through the soft texture unique to leather.
The surface is intricately and colorfully painted with beautiful flowers by local artisans. You can enjoy the powerful brushstrokes and texture of hand-painting, which cannot be replicated by printing.
It adds a striking accent to ethnic, antique, and modern spaces, day and night.
Why not bring this one-of-a-kind light into your relaxing evenings?
