★What are Hydroballs?
Hydroballs, used in hydroponics, are ball-shaped stones made from clay that has been fired at high temperatures and expanded. They are also known as expanded clay aggregate.
Each stone has many small pores that trap air, supplying oxygen to the plant.
★How to Use Hydroballs
Hydroballs can be used essentially the same way as regular soil.
First, fill your planter or container (which should not have drainage holes) with hydroballs up to about 2/3 of the height. Then, plant your plant after thoroughly removing the soil from its roots.
Once the plant is positioned, add more hydroballs to fill the remaining space.
You can use a regular planter, but glass containers that allow you to see the contents are also recommended for a beautiful aesthetic.
