Product Description:
Yokohama Daniel, a long-established furniture maker in Yokohama with over 130 years of history, has been handcrafting the finest European-style furniture. Daniel's furniture has been manufactured as genuine furniture and valuable household items, based on a long tradition and sophisticated design, utilizing the skills of experienced craftsmen.
When the Black Ships arrived and many foreigners began to reside in Yokohama, in 1863, an Englishman named Mr. Gorman established a European-style furniture company in Motomachi, Yokohama, and Yokohama Classic Furniture began to be produced.
Over time, the quality greatly improved through the craftsmanship unique to Japanese artisans, to the point that even Westerners were impressed, and some people took it back to their home countries.
Subsequently, craftsmen who had learned their skills in Yokohama expanded into the Shiba area of Tokyo, achieving great prosperity by undertaking work for the Imperial Household Agency. Daniel's furniture is a masterpiece of traditional Japanese furniture that inherits this traditional technology and spirit.
Its high quality and elegant grace create a happy and enjoyable lifestyle, and it is furniture that can be passed down to the next generation without ever becoming tiresome.
Daniel produces genuine wooden furniture even in the age of mass production, and the work of craftsmen is indispensable. Using various planes, the carefully finished shapes create warm lines and textures that cannot be achieved by machines.
This is a work that embodies the power of nature and the refined skills and spirit of handmade craftsmanship. You can enjoy the warmth of its natural colors and grain.

We appreciate your understanding that this is a used item.
