Pesticide-free apricots, harvested evening of 5/22, size no. 3 (Takkyubin Compact size)
Sale ends at 1 PM! Don't miss this chance to get sweet and sour apricots! Now ¥1399 (originally ¥1499)
Our homegrown apricots are finally starting to ripen. It seems that the harvest of plums and apricots is low in many regions this year. Our harvest is also expected to be about 1/10th of last year's.
We use absolutely no pesticides (they're just left to grow on their own! (^o^;)), so you can make jam with peace of mind. However, this means there may be some insect damage or blemishes. We carefully harvest and remove any insects, but because they are completely pesticide-free, insect damage or blemishes may worsen during transport.
We will ship at room temperature via Takkyubin Compact. We will ship on May 23rd first thing in the morning, and we recommend purchasing for those in regions that can receive delivery the next day from Fukuoka.
There are 28 pieces, packed into a Takkyubin Compact box. We will send you the exact items shown in the image.
This is the size of the Takkyubin Compact box.
*Since they are starting to ripen, we recommend purchasing for those in regions that can receive delivery the next day. For other regions, please be aware that further ripening and spoilage may occur.
*The image shows fruit harvested on the evening of May 21st.
They are not soft to the touch, but they are colored, so we believe it's best for those in regions where delivery is possible within a day. We ship from Fukuoka.
Apricots spoil quickly when fully ripe, so please understand that further ripening or spoilage during transport is possible.
If you plan to make compote, it might be easier to use fruit that still has some greenness and let it ripen further, rather than receiving them fully ripe.
We use them for processing rather than eating fresh. ? We recommend making compote or jam, removing any bad parts as needed.
For hard fruit that is not yet fully ripe, store them at room temperature to ripen further.
Wrap them in newspaper or place them in a plastic bag and keep them in a cool place. Depending on the condition of the fruit and storage environment, changes may occur within 2-3 days. They will become sweeter as the orange color deepens and the aroma intensifies.
Oriental apricots tend to be quite tart.
We recommend making jam or syrup preserves.
As these are naturally grown without pesticides for home use, they may have scuffs, scratches, or irregular shapes compared to those sold in stores. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about this.
