Rice Seed (Seed Paddy) Ear Tips, 55g - Environmental Education, Nature Observation, Practical Training, Bucket Rice Cultivation, Independent Study
Thank you for viewing.
This is Rice Seeds (Seedlings) Ear Tips.
We are offering these to those interested in rice cultivation or bucket rice farming.
Quantity: 55g
Cultivation Location: Nagano Prefecture
Photos 1, 2, and 3 show 10g as an example. We will ship a portion of rice ears or just the ear tips in simple packaging. Please note that seed籾 may come off or ears may break during shipping.
Cultivation Method:
Traditional methods without animal compost or electric machinery. Hand-planted, hand-harvested, threshed using a winnowing machine and foot-powered thresher, and no pesticides used during the cultivation period.
Since starting farm work, I have not bought or used any pesticides or herbicides, preferring to work in harmony with nature.
I create compost from fallen leaves and homemade fermented organic matter to enrich the soil.
Counting the grains, there were approximately 200 seed籾 in 5g, which is a sufficient amount for growing in a bucket.
As the seeds are selected by hand, they may include stems other than seed籾, empty husks, or damaged/cracked seed籾. We appreciate your understanding. We will include slightly more than 55.0g. We are listing this as New from the perspective of being new, unused rice seeds.
The amount of seeds can be adjusted, so please contact us if you have a desired quantity.
You can find various methods for growing by searching for bucket rice farming.
First, remove the seed籾 from the ear.
① Soaking in water → Change water daily. It is said that germination occurs when the temperature exceeds 100℃ (this is likely a typo and should refer to a different metric, but we are translating as is).
② Plant the germinated seeds in a planter or similar container.
Once the sprouts appear and the leaves have grown to five, transplant them into a bucket.
Fill the bucket with soil and water to create a muddy consistency.
④ Grow in a sunny location, being careful to keep the water level consistent.
From my experience, growing rice is not difficult.
I believe rice plants adapt and grow according to their environment. For example, if you plant only a few seedlings in a bucket, the rice plants will tiller and increase their numbers on their own.
Even if you don't know something, it's interesting to try it out.
I hope you will give it a try.
* We were able to harvest from upland rice as well. However, the yield was less compared to paddy rice.
* We cannot guarantee that all seeds will germinate, but I have been using these seeds to cultivate my rice paddy every year.
* No packaging is included.
We also sell other types of seeds.
We also have seed籾 for glutinous rice.
