Rokko Tunnel Stone (D) - Set of 5
Stone collected from the tunnel during construction in the Nunobiki-Tsurukaki section of the Rokko Tunnel on the Sanyo Shinkansen (opened between Shin-Osaka and Okayama on March 15, 1972).
The type of stone is granite.
It's interesting to compare the rocks from each construction area. The rock specimens are arranged in order from west to east of the construction area.
This stone was given to me by someone who worked on railway construction at the time.
*The collection site is written directly on the stone with magic marker.
