This filter media utilizes an innovative water treatment technology called Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR). By floating and constantly agitating the media in the water, a bacterial film naturally forms on its surface, efficiently breaking down harmful substances such as ammonia, nitrite, and organic matter in the aquarium water.

By allowing the media to float in the water using a pump or aeration, the entire surface area where bacteria reside is constantly in contact with the water. Compared to conventional fixed filter media, bacterial activity is significantly enhanced, dramatically improving filtration capacity. The system is designed so that water circulation is not stagnant, and the media itself is naturally cleaned.

[Reduced Maintenance & High Durability]
Because the media flows on its own, dead spaces are less likely to form in the filter tank, suppressing the generation of anaerobic environments that cause water spoilage and odors. Furthermore, high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a highly durable material, is used. It is resistant to deformation even with long-term use and strong against collisions between media, reducing the frequency of replacement and making it economical.
