The recessed surface and internal porous structure allow a large number of filtration bacteria to colonize. Nitrifying bacteria effectively break down ammonia generated from fish waste and uneaten food, and further break down nitrite, which is generated during decomposition, into less toxic nitrate. This removes harmful substances, contributing to water quality stabilization through safe and secure biological filtration and creating a healthy environment for fish.
It can significantly reduce the effort required for maintenance such as water changes.

*Hollow Design*
The hollow space in the center of the ball creates a low-oxygen environment suitable for bacteria, greatly increasing the colonization rate of bacteria and enhancing filtration efficiency.

* Periodically clean the dirt accumulated in the filter media. Wash with aquarium water or tap water that has been dechlorinated and matched to the temperature of the aquarium water.

* Deterioration of the filter media itself is an indicator for replacement. To ensure stable water quality, it is recommended to gradually replace about 1/3 to 1/2 of the media.
