Yoshikazu Otani, Master Painter - Large Copperplate Print - Pencil Signed - Limited Edition of 5 Works

This is a 2002 artwork by Mr. Otani. Mr. Otani and I worked at the same company. When I retired and opened a shop called Negibozu in Kichijoji, my former supervisor, who was in the same cohort as Mr. Otani, visited the shop. As a celebratory gift for the opening, he created this copperplate etching over the course of a year. Five prints were made of this etching. My supervisor purchased one, and I bought the remaining four. I displayed one in the shop and gave one to my parents. Since my parents passed away a few years ago, I am now offering it for sale. Mr. Otani had been battling illness for some time, but a few months before his passing, he visited the shop and said, This etching is the first large-scale copperplate etching I ever created in my life. You may sell it after I'm gone, but promise me you will absolutely not sell it at a discount. Therefore, I have set the starting price at 150,000 yen.
