Maissa Toulet
Born 1974
Around the age of 30, she began collecting objects, toys, insects, etc., and started creating cabinets (curiosity cabinets). She says it was inspired by Joseph Cornell-style collages, like art boxes, which she loved since her teenage years. It started with cramming all her collected items into glass cases, and now she creates and exhibits works on a different scale than back then.
