This is an original Hand towel from Shussai Kiln in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture.
It has a wonderful texture.

It is new, unopened, and unused,
but the outer bag has wrinkles.

Shussai Kiln Hand towels are dyed using a technique called Chusen.
Chusen involves applying paste according to the pattern with a stencil, and then pouring dye from a kettle to create various patterns. It is said to be called Chusen because of this process. Chusen dyeing is characterized by its tasteful, soft bleeding of colors, giving each Hand towel its own unique personality.

There are two types of patterns: the Izushi seal by Mr. Keisuke Serizawa, and designs using stencil patterns of climbing kilns and pottery by Mr. Koichi Otanaka from Iwate.
There are 10 colors. In addition to traditional Japanese colors, Mr. Shin Nakamura, representative of Nakamura Co., Ltd. in Kanda, Tokyo, expressed Gosu glaze, Namako glaze, and the flames of a climbing kiln in Chusen-unique colors and dyed them.
