Description
Beautiful, mid-century modern Italian Florentine leather trinket box. Crafted during the peak of the post-war European souvenir trade (circa 1950s–1960s), this box features classic gold-leaf tooled (gilt-stamped) scrolling borders on genuine brown leather.A wonderful hallmark of its quality is the masterfully crafted hidden leather hinge construction. The lid is seamlessly connected to the base via an internal leather strap, eliminating unsightly external metal hardware and giving it the clean look of an antique book binding. The interior is fully lined in matching rugged brown leather, making it perfect for a gentleman's dresser, vanity, library desk, or for storing playing cards and trinkets.
