Vintage Chinese Brass Hand Warmer Pierced Lid Portable Coal Heater Basket

Beautiful vintage-to-antique Chinese brass hand warmer featuring a decorative pierced lid with a fruit-and-leaf motif and a hinged carrying handle. Traditionally used with hot coals or embers to provide portable warmth during cold weather, these hand warmers are now highly collectible as examples of Asian decorative arts and traditional household items. 4 long 3 wide 3.5 tall While inspired by much older Chinese hand warmers from the Qing and Republic periods, the stamped export mark suggests this is most likely a mid-20th-century example rather than a true antique. Vintage pre-owned condition with oxidation, tarnish, surface wear, and age-related patina consistent with age and use. Untested for heating use and recommended as a collectible decorative piece.
