This rug was hand loomed by my 80 y/o mom using recycled materials such as chenille blankets, towels, sheets, etc. My great Grandma and Grandpa (started in the 1960's), Grandma and Mom all used to make rag rugs on large looms, the looms are now gone but my mom has continued to make rag rugs with a hand looming frame.
