[Last listing until 10/22 noon] Marigaux 901 Oboe

[Current Status]
From noon on October 22nd (Wednesday), this item will be switched to consignment sales at a musical instrument store.
Until then, I will relist it here. Although it will be for a short time, please consider it if you are interested.

I am generally not considering price reductions, but please feel free to discuss small amounts.
===============

This is the Marigaux 901, a standard model for oboe.
It is a very popular instrument not only among professionals but also among amateur musicians.

I am selling it because I have switched to a new instrument.
It is an instrument that feels comfortable to hold and is not too heavy. It is also recommended for women.

* It was checked by a wind instrument specialty store in October 2025 and confirmed to have no major issues. I also experienced no particular problems when playing it myself.

* Although manufactured in 1979 (Serial Number: #104XX), it is in excellent condition. Like other 901 models, this instrument has a rich, mellow sound with abundant overtones. The intonation is stable and it accommodates various reeds well (especially compatible with Hase reeds).

* I purchased it in July 2024 after it underwent an overhaul at a renowned store in the Kansai region. When purchasing, I compared it with the Yamaha 831 and Buffet Crampon R47, and found this instrument to have a significantly deeper tone and be easier to control.

* It is lighter than the current Marigaux 901, making it recommended for those who find it difficult to hold an instrument for long periods.

* It has been used once in an orchestra performance. It blends exceptionally well with the ensemble and has enough power for solos to carry well.

* My teacher also played it and commented that despite its age, the instrument still has a long lifespan remaining.

* There is no major damage such as cracks in the body or chips in the bell.
    The plating, while showing some tarnishing, is free of peeling and shines beautifully. The pads are also in very good condition, as commented by the repair technician (see photo 11).

* The handle of the hard case has come off due to age-related deterioration (see photo 12).
