Mozart
Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major, K. 543
Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550
Symphony No. 41 in C major, K. 551 Jupiter
Beethoven
Symphony No. 2 in D major, Op. 36 (*)
Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra
Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra (*)
Conductor: Karl Böhm
Live recordings from August 13 and 17, 1980 (*)
A coupling of Mozart, Böhm's final collaboration with the BPO at the Vienna Festival, and Beethoven from Salzburg. Both are magnificent, masterful performances, and the slow tempos reveal the pinnacle of the maestro's late-career artistry. Sound quality is good.
*Please note that there may be some audible noise or skips due to the original recording.
