This is a leather draw rein (training aid).
Unlike typical draw reins that pass through the bit rings,
this one attaches to the bit with a snap hook and then passes through the rings.
This design minimizes friction and allows for smooth action.

It has a relatively gentle contact on the horse's mouth,
making it recommended for horses that require delicate contact or for training.

Made from thin buckskin leather,
it is lightweight and easy to handle.

There are some signs of storage characteristic of leather,
but it is in perfect working condition.
